Google Treks

google treks

Google does it again.

They have come out with another cool spin off site – Google Treks. Check it out — here.

We had post previously about Google Trekker, the device being used for these fantastic angles and shots of places and cities around the globe.

It seems as if Google Treks is a platform that lets you tour famous areas and buildings around the world. There are interactive features, videos, and amazing shots of different places.

Places listed so far are: The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Iqaluit in the Canadian Artic, Mt. Everest, The Grand Canyon, The Great Barrier Reef, the city of Venice, and a few others.

Technologies like Trekker may one day change the world of traveling. I think it is fair to say that Google Maps, Google Street View, Bing”s Birds Eye Maps, and now Google Trekker has changed this world, specifically in how we view and learn about geography.

Enjoy the technology.
